The Crimean Tatar Resource Center starts a storm in social networks dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the victims of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people. We call on every caring person, every individual, every conscientious citizen of its country to join us.
We want to remind the Ukrainian and international societies about the terrible crime against humanity, about the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people in 1944. In total, 238,500 people were exiled from Crimea, and the death toll in the first years was 110,200 people, or 46.2% of all those exiled.
It is important to remember those terrible events, especially now, when history is repeating itself. The Russian Federation actually continues the practice of the Soviet Union, because the purpose of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine is the destruction of the Ukrainian people, their identity and culture. Daily massacres, kidnappings, forced transfer of thousands of people, including children, from among the civilian population of Ukraine to the territory of the Russian Federation – all these are the realities of the present.
Join the storm Impunity breeds lawlessness to publicize the crimes of the Russian Federation against humanity, which are becoming systemic. The world did not condemn the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people in 1944, and this impunity gave rise to new crimes. Now the Russian Federation has committed genocide against the Ukrainian people. We must stop this.

In 1944, they carried out the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people, and today they are doing the same with the Ukrainian people. We must stop this”.
