May 12, 2022

The occupants continue their repressions. On Thursday, May 12, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don announced the verdict of the defendants in the so-called Hizb ut-Tahrir case: Tofik Abdulgaziev, Vladlen Abdulkadyrov, Izzet Abdullaev, Medzhyt Abdurakhmanov and Bilyal Adilov.

The invaders condemned:

Tofik Abdulgaziev to 12 years in a strict regime colony with the first 5 years in prison and restriction of freedom for 1 year after release

Vladlen Abdulkadyrov to 12 years in a strict regime colony with the first 5 years in prison and restriction of freedom for 1 year after release

Izzet Abdullaev to 12 years in a strict regime colony with the first 5 years in prison and restriction of freedom for 1 year after release

Medzhit Abdurakhmanov to 12 years in a strict regime colony with the first 5 years in prison and restriction of freedom for 1 year after release

Bilyal Adilov to 14 years in a strict regime colony with the first 5 years in prison and restriction of freedom for 1 year and 6 months  after release.

It should be noted that the accusations in this so-called case are based on the testimony of hidden witnesses and the conclusion of so-called experts actively cooperating with the Russian security forces. Consideration of the so-called case took place with a gross violation of international law.

The Crimean Tatar Resource Center strongly protests and states that this decision is illegal, politically motivated and criminal. This policy of the Russian Federation is a demonstration of the fight against the political beliefs of people in the occupied Crimea.

The Crimean Tatar Resource Center demands to cancel the sentences of the defendants in the so-called case and release other political prisoners immediately.
