On Friday, April 22, the so-called city court of Armiansk announced the verdict in the case against the leader of the Crimean Tatar people, Mustafa Dzhemilev. This was reported by lawyer Nikolai Polozov via his Facebook page.
Mustafa Dzhemilev was sentenced:
On charges of negligent storage of weapons, which entailed grave consequences (Article 224 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) – a fine of 20 thousand rubles and exemption from punishment due to the expiration of the statute of limitations for criminal liability.
On charges of illegal storage of ammunition (part 1 of article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) – 1 year in prison, a fine of 15 thousand rubles and exemption from punishment due to the expiration of the statute of limitations for criminal liability.
On charges of illegally crossing the border of the Russian Federation by a person who knowingly knew about the ban on entry into the Russian Federation, committed by a group of persons by prior agreement (part 3 of article 322 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) – 2 years of suspended sentence with release from punishment under an amnesty in connection with 70 anniversary of victory in WWII.
Thus, Mustafa Dzhemilev was found guilty, but released from punishment on non-rehabilitating grounds
