“The individuals we have identified are in or near the inner circles of the Kremlin and play a role in government decision-making or, at a minimum, are involved in the Kremlin’s destabilizing behavior”,- a senior Joe Biden administration official said.
It is noted that the United States have developed special sanctions packages for both eligible Russian elites and their family members, and these efforts are being carried out in coordination with US allies and partners.
