January 12, 2022

On Tuesday, January 11, another illegal military exercise took place in the occupied Crimea, in which 500 marines and engineers were involved. The Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation worked out missile strikes and conducted training with small arms. This was reported by the press service of the Black Sea Fleet.

“The servicemen have begun training in managing missile strikes and fire units, as well as performing practical exercises with standard small arms”,- the report said.

It is noted that dozens of vehicles and guns, 500 marines and engineers of the Black Sea Fleet, as well as artillerymen, were deployed to the training grounds of Crimea to carry out maneuvers.

We remind you that military exercises, promotion of military service and conscription into the armed forces of the Russian Federation are regularly held in the occupied Crimea. The exercises conducted by the Russian military destroy the ecosystem of the peninsula and are a gross violation of international law.

Earlier, NATO, in a statement on Crimea, condemned Russia's ongoing large-scale military buildup in Crimea and expressed concern about Russia's efforts and stated plans to further build up its military power in the Black Sea region.
