On Sunday, January 9th, the campaign #SayNOtoPutin was held in Kyiv. Activists demand from the world community not to succumb to the ultimatums of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and to preserve world order.

The action was joined by the head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov, the Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, the Head of the Department of Legal Affairs and Foreign Affairs of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariiev, public figure Yosyf Zisels, ex-political prisoner Volodymyr Balukh and other activists.
“Today we have gathered to stop Putin, to demonstrate solidarity with the Crimean Tatar, Kazakh, Belarusian peoples. Today I want to remind you that cases of torture are constantly recorded in Crimea, that during the entire period of occupation, 234 political prisoners were recorded and prosecuted in criminal cases, 165 of them are Crimean Tatars. 121 people are currently in jail and colonies, 89 of them are Crimean Tatars. First Deputy Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Nariman Dzhelialov is also in the FSB dungeons”,- Bariiev said.
“Today we are going to say no to Putin. We have gathered to remind the whole world that Crimea and the Donbas are occupied, that now there is a threat both in Belarus and Kazakhstan. I call on the Ukrainian society to unite against this threat from Putin”,- he stressed.
