The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization has inscribed the Ornek Crimean Tatar ornament on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This was reported by the press service of the organization.
Ornek is a Ukrainian system of symbols and their meanings, which is currently used in embroidery, weaving, pottery, engraving, jewelry, woodcarving, painting on glass and walls”,- the message said.
