On Thursday, December 16, another exercise was held in the occupied Crimea to destroy a naval target. More than 200 servicemen and six aircraft took part in the maneuvers. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.
“To carry out the task of the combined destruction of the target, a duty group of aircraft from the Naval Aviation and Air Defense of the Black Sea Fleet was lifted into the air, and the crews of the Bastion complex, deployed on the territory of the Crimean Peninsula, made a march to the positional area and prepared missile systems for use”,- the message said.
The exercise was attended by over 200 servicemen, four Su-30SM aircraft, two Su-24M aircraft and the Bastion battalion.
We remind that military exercises, propaganda of military service and conscription into the ranks of the armed forces of the Russian Federation are regularly held in the occupied Crimea. The Russian military exercises are destroying the ecosystem of the peninsula and are a flagrant violation of international law.
Earlier, NATO in its statement on Crimea condemned Russia's ongoing large-scale military build-up in Crimea and expressed concern over Russia's efforts and announced plans to further build up military power in the Black Sea region.
