In the occupied Crimea, in Yalta, a man was detained on suspicion of high treason. The occupants claim that a citizen of the Russian Federation, on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services, collected and transmitted information constituting a state secret. This was reported by the press service of the FSB.
“The FSB of Russia has suppressed the espionage activities of a Russian citizen in the interests of the Security Service of Ukraine. It was established that a resident of the city of Yalta in the period from 2017 to 2018, on the instructions of the Ukrainian special service, collected and transmitted information constituting a state secret, including about employees of the Federal Security Service”,- the message said.
A criminal case was initiated against the man under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of Russia – high treason. The man was arrested for 2 months.
