On Tuesday, October 19, in the office of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, a meeting was held with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Ukraine, Mr. Yuddi Krisnandi. The interlocutors discussed the situation in the occupied Crimea, and also paid attention to the activities of the Crimean Platform.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Ukraine Mr. Yuddi Krisnandi, Head of the Political Department of the Embassy of Indonesia in Ukraine Mrs. Margaret Puspita, MP of Ukraine Mustafa Dzhemilev, Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Refat Chubarov, Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, Head of the Department of Legal and Foreign Affairs of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Eskender Bariiev and members of Mejlis Riza Shevkiev and Gayana Yuksel.
Representatives of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people informed the diplomats about the current situation with the violation of human rights in the occupied Crimea, about repressions against the indigenous people of Crimea and ethnic Ukrainians, about systemic persecutions on ethnic and religious grounds. Considerable attention was paid to the activities of the Crimean Platform, the summit of which took place on August 23, 2021.
