October 20, 2021

On Thursday, October 14, Russian security forces detained 16-year-old civilian journalist Amar Abdulgaziev near the building of the so-called Crimean garrison military court. The occupants asked him questions about his father, Tofik Abdulgaziev, and later released him. This was reported by the Crimean Solidarity public association.

The young man was put in a car and taken to the district police department of the city of Simferopol. Amar was asked questions about his father arrested in the so-called Hizb ut-Tahrir case. They also tried to film him, but the boy refused.

“Lawyer Isliam Veliliaev said that an administrative protocol was drawn up against the civic journalist and the son of political prisoner Tofik Abdulgaziev, 16-year-old Amar Abdulgaziev, for smoking in the wrong place. The young man has already left the police station in Simferopol”,- the message says.
