The Russian-controlled Lenin District Court of Sevastopol extended the arrest of Crimean activist Rustem Tairov, who was detained after searches on 17 August. He will remain in jail for another 3 months – until January 11, 2022.
We remind you that on August 17, Russian security officials came to the houses of five Crimean Tatars: Dzhebbar Bekirov, Zaur Abdullaiev, Rustem Tairov, Raif Fevziiev and Rustem Murasov. All activists were detained. On August 17, 2021, the so-called Lenin District Court of Sevastopol chose Dzhebbar Bekirov and Rustem Tairov a measure of restraint in the form of detention until October 11, 2021, and the so-called Kyiv District Court of Simferopol chose Imam Raif Fevziiev a measure of restraint in the form of detention until October 12, 2021. On August 18, 2021, the so-called Lenin District Court of Sevastopol chose Rustem Murasov and Zaur Abdullaiev a measure of restraint in the form of detention until October 11, 2021.
