On Tuesday, September 28, the team of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center held a meeting with representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, during which they discussed the possibility of imposing personal sanctions against 50 persons responsible for human rights violations in the occupied Crimea.
The participants of the meeting were the First Deputy Head of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, Counselor of Justice Vitalii Sekretar, Head of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol Iryna Bartsytska, Head of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol Sviatoslav Poznakhovskyy, Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, Head of the Department of legal issues and foreign affairs of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariiev, manager of the CTRC Liudmyla Korotkykh.
The interlocutors discussed the importance of introducing personal sanctions against persons who actually violate human rights in the occupied Crimea. Therefore, the CTRC team provided the prosecutor's office with lists of 50 people involved in human rights violations in Crimea and called on to promote the introduction of sanctions against them.
Earlier, the CTRC team has already sent lists with names to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Office of the President of Ukraine, as well as the Security Service of Ukraine.
We remind you that earlier the experts of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center presented a list of 166 people who violate human rights in the occupied Crimea. In addition, a classification of persons involved in the persecution of political prisoners, their relatives and Crimean activists was presented:
1. FSB officers
2. Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
3. Employees of the prosecutor's office
4. Judges
5. Court clerks
6. Experts / Doctors
7. Employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service
8. Lawyers by appointment
9. Other officials (ministries, Ministry of Emergency Situations, etc.)
