On Thursday, September 2, a photo exhibition Crimean Tatars – the indigenous people of Crimea was opened in Moscow, dedicated to the current situation in the occupied Crimea, as well as repressions against representatives of the Crimean Tatar people.

This photo exhibition tells about the history of the Crimean Tatar people, but the main focus is on modern realities. During the presentation of the project, an interesting discussion ensued about the persecution of the indigenous people in the occupied Crimea.
Eskender Bariiev, Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, head of the Department of Legal and Foreign Affairs of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, took part in this event via Zoom platform.
The expert informed everyone present about the real situation with human rights violations in the occupied Crimea, about political prisoners who disappeared and died during the occupation of the peninsula. Bariiev spoke in detail about the repressions against the indigenous Crimean Tatar people, as well as the work of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center aimed at protecting the collective rights of the indigenous people and the release of all political prisoners.
The ideo of the exhibition and the project were conceived and prepared by Yevheniia Lytvynova and Natalia Voznesenska.
