In the occupied Crimea, a 38-year-old man was detained for distributing materials of an extremist nature on social networks. It is reported by the Kryminform media agency.

“The illegal activities of a resident of the Republic of Crimea, distributing extremist materials in open telecommunication networks, have been suppressed”,- the message said.

It is noted that a criminal case has been initiated against the man under Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code of Russia (public calls for extremist activities committed using the Internet).
