Russian security forces conducted searches in Crimea once more

On Tuesday, August 17, Russian security officials came to the houses of five Crimean Tatars: Dzhebbar Bekirov, Zaur Abdullaiev, Rustem Tairov, Raif Fevziiev and Rustem Murasov. All activists have already been detained. This was reported by the Crimean Solidarity public association.

Searches were carried out at:

the village of Strohonivka in the Simferopol district of Crimea in the house of the local imam Raif Fevziiev

the village of Ternivka in the Balaklava district of Sevastopol in the house of Crimean Tatar DzeNbbar Bekirov

Bakhchysarai region of Crimea in the village of Kholmivka in the house of Zaur Abdullaiev

the village of Povorotne of Nakhimovskyy district of Sevastopol in the house Rustem Murasov

the village of Povorotne, Nakhimovskyy district of Sevastopol in the house of Rustem Tairov.

All the detainees were engaged in activism, regularly attended politically motivated court sessions, supported the families of political prisoners, organizers of iftar and mass events in their villages.
