Chairman of the Sudak Regional Mejlis Ilver Ametov was sentenced

August 6, 2021

The chairman of the Sudak Regional Mejlis, Ilver Ametov, was found guilty under Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of firearms, their main parts, ammunition). He was sentenced to 8 months of restriction of freedom. This was reported by the Crimean Solidarity public association.

We remind that on June 29, in the occupied Crimea, a so-called trial began in the so-called case of the chairman of the Sudak Regional Mejlis Ilver Ametov, from whom, during a search in September 2019, ancient exhibits of weapons were seized from his home museum. He has been collecting artifacts for over 20 years. Now the Crimean Tatar is accused under the first part of Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of firearms, their main parts, ammunition).
