An outbreak of coronavirus infection was recorded in the Simferopol pre-trial detention center. According to the chairman of the public commission under the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, Andrei Kozyr, all infected people have a mild illness. However, the administration of the pre-trial detention center does not disclose the number of those infected. This was reported by the RIA News Crimea media agency.
Now all patients have been placed in the medical block of the pre-trial detention center, disinfection and sanitary measures are regularly carried out on the territory of the isolation ward, and an epidemiological investigation has begun.
“Disinfection is constantly carried out, everyone is in protective suits. According to them, there is enough medicine and there is no need to take people to medical institutions. In addition, they assured that the infected were not taken out of the pre-trial detention center”,- Andrei Kozyr said.
