On Thursday, July 8, in the occupied Crimea, in the city of Sevastopol, the Russian security forces came to the dwelling of the parents of the activist and assistant of the Ukrainian MP Haide Rizaieva. The woman is accused of participating in the Noman Çelebicihan Crimean Tatar Volunteer Battalion, which the Russian Federation considers an illegal armed group. Rizaieva reported this via her Facebook page.
“Just now my Mom called… At the moment, in the house of my parents, in Crimea (Simferopol), the Investigative Committee of the FSB of Crimea is conducting a search… Mom was taken away for interrogation on the fact of a criminal case against me for participation in the Noman Çelebicihan Crimean Tatar Volunteer Battalion in 2015”,- the message said.
Haide Rizaieva's son was also taken to the police department, but later they were all released.
