The Minister of Culture of the Russian government of Crimea, Arina Novoselskaya, said that the damage to the cultural heritage in the occupied Crimea due to natural disasters amounted to about 500 million rubles. This was reported by the Russian media agency TASS.
“We have already contacted Moscow, have already informed about the losses on cultural heritage sites in Kerch and Feodosia, identified the needs and made an approximate estimate. About 480-500 million rubles”,- she said.
Novoselskaya noted that the Church of John the Baptist in Kerch, the museum complex of the Adzhymushkai quarries and other objects need restoration.
