On Thursday, June 10, US Representative Courtney Austrian at a meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna again called on the Russian Federation to end the occupation of Crimea, to end the persecution of Crimean Tatars, ethnic Ukrainians and other members of ethnic and religious groups.
“We condemn Russia's continued attempts to intimidate Crimean Tatar leaders, silence journalists, and prosecute and imprison those who oppose more than seven years of Russian occupation of Crimea”,- the statement said.
The US calls on Russia to end its occupation of Crimea, end the persecution of Crimean Tatars, ethnic Ukrainians and other members of ethnic and religious groups, and release all political prisoners.
