European Union calls for release of all Crimean political prisoners – Stano

The official representative of the EU foreign policy service Peter Stano called on the Russian Federation for the immediate and unconditional release of all those detained and convicted in Crimea in violation of international law. He reported this via his Twitter page.

Russia continues to persecute Crimean Tatars and human rights defenders. An official from the EU Delegation to Russia was present at today's (May 26) trial of Emir-Huseyn Kuku. The European Union calls for his immediate and unconditional release, as well as all those detained and convicted in Crimea in violation international law. Crimea is Ukraine”,- the message said.
