May 25, 2021

The judge of the Southern District Military Court wrote out three private rulings to the Crimean lawyers – Emil Kurbedinov, Edem Semedliaiev and Nazim Sheikhmambetov. This was reported by the Crimean Solidarity public association.

“Judge of the Southern District Military Court Oleg Volkov wrote out three private rulings at once to lawyers Emil Kurbedinov, Edem Semedliaiev and Nazim Sheikhmambetov. They represent the interests of Crimean Tatar activists arrested within the framework of the so-called second Simferopol Hizb ut-Tahrir case in Crimea. The ruling of the court was motivated by their failure to appear at the trial of Raim Ayvazov, Remzi Bekirov, Riza Izetov, Shaban Umerov, Farkhod Bazarov, which took place on May 11 and 12, 2021”,- the message said.

It is noted that the lawyers did not appear in the so-called court, as they went on a business trip from 4 to 8 May, and upon returning from it, Rospotrebnadzor demanded that they observe a self-isolation regime until the results of COVID-19 tests.
