In the occupied Crimea, the fact of illegal felling of green spaces in the territory of the Sudak forestry was recorded. The damage to the environment exceeded 3.4 million rubles. This was reported by the press service of the so-called prosecutor’s office of the peninsula.

"It has been established that in the territory of the Sudak forestry, in the absence of a positive conclusion of the state expertise of the forest development project, as well as without submitting an appropriate declaration, 178 trees and shrubs of various species were illegally cut down. The damage caused by illegal actions exceeded 3.4 million rubles”,- the message said.

The occupants opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Art. 260 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal felling of forest plantations, committed on an especially large scale).
