Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said on the air of the Russia-1 TV channel that Putin is ready to discuss Crimea only in the context of cross-border cooperation, but no one will discuss the territorial affiliation of the peninsula.
“Our Ukrainian counterparts, for example, say: we will discuss Crimea. But if we discuss Crimea in terms of developing cross-border cooperation – and Russia has cross-border cooperation between regions with foreign countries – if in this regard, then I am sure that Putin will be ready”,- he said.
Peskov stressed that no one will discuss the territorial affiliation of Crimea in the context of the fact that the peninsula is not a region of Russia.
