Portugal blocked mention of anniversary of deportation in EU statement to OSCE

On Thursday, May 20, Portugal blocked the mention of the anniversary of the deportation in a statement on Crimea from the EU to the OSCE. This was announced by journalist Rikard Jozwiak via his Twitter page.

“Yesterday #Portugal blocked a reference to the 77th anniversary of the deportation of Crimean Tatars in a statement on #Crimea to be issued by the EU at OSCE. Previous statements have always mentioned the events of 18-20 May 1944. #Ukraine”,- Jozwiak wrote.
