The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, on the Day of Victims of the Deportation of the Crimean Tatar People, stressed that it would never recognize the annexation of Crimea and called on the Russian Federation to stop violating human rights in the occupied peninsula.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic expresses its respect for all victims of deportations, supports the efforts of the Crimean Tatar people in the struggle for freedom and condemns the constant trampling on the rights of not only Crimean Tatars, but also other persecuted Ukrainian citizens”,- the statement said.
It is noted that the Czech Republic fully supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, did not recognize and does not recognize the illegal annexation of Crimea. The document called on the Russian Federation to stop violating the rights of Ukrainian citizens, immediately release all political prisoners, stop the occupation of Ukrainian territory and hear calls from the international community to rectify the situation.
