On Tuesday, May 18, on the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Crimean Tatar Genocide, the European Union delegation to Ukraine called on the Russian Federation to stop aggression and human rights violations in the occupied Crimea. “Today is the 77th anniversary of the Soviet deportation of Crimean Tatars from their homeland. We remember everyone who suffered. The EU calls on Russia to stop aggression and human rights violations in Crimea. The EU does not recognize Russia's illegal annexation of the peninsula”,- the statement said.
