On Thursday, May 6, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin arrived in the occupied Crimea, where he discussed issues related to the water supply of the peninsula with the occupation authorities. This was reported by the so-called head of the occupied Crimea Sergei Aksenov.

“Today, within the framework of the working visit of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin, they discussed issues related to water supply in the peninsula, reducing water losses, road construction, and considered the issue of increasing the volume of attracted investments, mortgage lending and others”,- the statement said.

Aksenov said that it is planned to transfer water from waterfalls to reservoirs in Yalta, separate measures will take place in Alushta and, of course, when the Beshterek-Zuisky water intake is fully launched, they will be able to provide the Crimean capital with water around the clock.

“I am sure that at least until the end of this year, even in the worst scenario, the Crimeans will have water. Moreover, the holiday season should also pass comfortably and without any damage to local residents”,- he added.
