The Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea announced the suspicion to the participants of the so-called self-defense of Sevastopol

On Wednesday, May 5, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea announced the suspicion to three members of an illegal armed formation self-defense of Sevastopol, who in 2014 controlled the activities of checkpoints illegally created on the territory of the peninsula. This was reported by the press service of the ARC Prosecutor’s Office.

“The suspects, being armed, carried out a so-called checkpoint regime at the illegally created checkpoint Belbek near the city of Sevastopol. At the same time, the so-called self-defense carried out illegal checks of citizens documents, searched vehicles, and also participated in the detention of the pro-Ukrainian population of the peninsula”,- the message said.

It is noted that another of the suspects, armed, patrolled the streets of the city of Sevastopol, checked the documents of citizens and participated in the dispersal of rallies that took place on the peninsula.
