The Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea reported the suspicion to the so-called military commissar of the town of Krasnoperekopsk and the Krasnoperekopsk district of the Republic of Crimea, who organized and conducted 5 illegal drafting campaigns on the peninsula. “Under the procedural leadership of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, another occupational military commissar of the city of Krasnoperekopsk and the Krasnoperekopsk district of the Republic of Crimea was informed of the suspicion under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely, in violation of the laws and customs of war, which consists of the enlistment of civilian population of the occupied peninsula to serve in the armed forces of the occupying state”,- the message said.
It is noted that the suspect, a citizen of the Russian Federation, has held the position of the so-called military commissar of the Bakhchysarai district of the Republic of Crimea since November 2018, and since April 2020 he was appointed the so-called military commissar of the town of Krasnoperekopsk and the Krasnoperekopsk district of the Republic of Crimea. The man developed a plan and organized 5 drafting campaigns of Crimeans in the respective regions.
