Political prisoner Ivan Yatskin, who is accused of alleged high treason in the form of espionage, suffers from severe pain in his legs. The man also complains about the appalling conditions in the detention center. Lawyer Nikolai Polozov reported about it via his Facebook page.
It is noted that after the so-called court session Yatskin was placed in a basement located under the pre-trial detention center, the so-called gut, where he spent two hours.
“He was forced to stand in this damp room. Considering the diseases of the lower limbs that he has, as well as the consequences of frostbite of the legs in the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center, Ivan Yatskin's health deteriorated. Today he complained to me of severe pain in his legs”,- the message said.
In addition, he has not yet been provided with medications (pain relievers and anticoagulants) that were previously passed to him by his relatives.
We remind that in early December 2019, Russian security forces in the occupied Crimea detained Ivan Yatskin, a resident of Simferopol, on charges of alleged high treason. Subsequently, the man was tramsferred to Moscow. He was arrested until March 16, 2020. Ivan Yatskin's lawyer, Nikolai Polozov, signed a non-disclosure agreement in the so-called case.
