Political prisoner Andrey Kolomiets, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison in the occupied Crimea, was placed in the cell with strict conditions of detention. He will stay there for a year. This was reported by his spouse via her Facebook page.

We remind that a resident of the Kyiv region Andrey Kolomiiets was detained in Kabardino-Balkaria in May 2015 on suspicion of possession of drugs. After the arrest, the Ukrainian was brought to Crimea and charged with attempted murder of two Crimean Berkut servicemen. From the evidence of the prosecution, according to the lawyer, only two black and white photographs of the allegedly charred uniform of these Berkut soldiers were presented. In June 2016, Ukrainian activist Andrey Kolomiets was sentenced to 10 years in prison in a strict regime colony. The court sentenced him to 6 years for allegedly attacking Berkut employees in Kyiv during the events on the Maidan, and another 4 years for drugs allegedly found in his possession.
