On Thursday, April 22, the Supreme “court” of the occupied Crimea terminated the “administrative case” against the wife of the political prisoner Riza Omerov – Sevilya Omerova, who had previously held a one-man picket in support of her husband and father-in-law. This was reported by the “Crimean Solidarity” public association.
"In fact, those who have tried or are trying to fabricate such cases against women are committing offenses themselves. We do hope that this trend with such acquittals will only grow,"- said the lawyer Ayder Suleimanov.
We want to remind that Sevilya Omerova was charged with an administrative offense for holding a one-man picket, according to which a fine from 1 to 30 thousand rubles is imposed. The court did not find corpus delicti in the case and closed it. Later, the Supreme "court" of the occupied Crimea decided to reconsider the "administrative case" against the woman again. On March 22, the Dzhankoy district "court" issued a warning to Sevilya.
