Ukrainian textbooks printed a map of Ukraine without Crimea

Ukrainian textbooks on the history of Ukraine for 9 and 10 grades, were printed with a map of the country without Crimea. The publishing house “Gramota” has already corrected the error in the electronic versions of the books, and also prepared the corresponding correction for the printed versions. This was reported by the Mission the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

"On February 31 in the media there were reports about an incorrect image of the map of Ukraine, in particular without the temporarily occupied Crimea, in the textbooks" History of Ukraine "for 9 grade of  the general secondary education ( author Strukevich A.K.) and" History of Ukraine (standard level ) "for 10 grade for  institutions of the general secondary education (author A. Strukevich), publishing house:" Gramota ", 2017 and 2018, respectively," – said in the message.

It is noted that the Mission immediately appealed to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine with a request to take measures to respond to the detected situation and ensure the correction of an incorrect image of the territory of Ukraine in school textbooks.

As a result, the publishing house "Gramota" revised the image of the map of Ukraine and prepared the replacement of electronic versions of textbooks for placement in the electronic library of the Institute. The publishing house has also prepared a corresponding revision for the printed versions of the above mentioned textbooks. New samples of symbols for insertion will be printed in circulation in accordance with the circulation of textbooks for  9 and 10 grades and sent to the departments of education and science of the regions.
