In the occupied Crimea, the fact of illegal felling of green spaces was recorded on the territory of the Frunze Central Park of Culture and Rest in Yevpatoria. The damage to the environment exceeded 4 million rubles. This was reported by the press service of the so-called prosecutor’s office of the peninsula.
“The prosecutor's office of the city of Yevpatoria, in the course of checking the information posted in the media, revealed the fact of illegal felling of green spaces on the territory of the Frunze Central Park of Culture and Rest”,- said the message.
It is noted that according to a preliminary assessment made by the department of municipal services of the local administration, the damage to the environment exceeded 4 million rubles.
The occupants opened a case under Part 3 of Article 260 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which implies illegal felling of trees and bushes, committed on an especially large scale, and is punished by up to seven years in prison.
