The UN member states once again called on the Russian Federation to immediately end the occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol and fully implement the relevant UN General Assembly resolutions on the situation in Crimea. The text of the document was published via the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
“Seven years ago, on March 27, 2014, the UN General Assembly, by an overwhelming majority of votes of the UN member states, adopted Resolution 68/262 Territorial Integrity of Ukraine. By this resolution, the international community confirmed, clearly and loudly, its full devotion to sovereignty, political independence , the unity and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders”,- the message said.
The UN once again called on the Russian Federation to immediately end its occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol and fully implement the relevant resolutions of the UN General Assembly on the situation in Crimea. In addition, the organization welcomes Ukraine's initiative to create an International Crimean Platform to consolidate the efforts of the world community in Crimea.
