International community condemned Russian conference on Crimea

19 countries condemned the March 17 Russian conference on Crimea and issued a joint statement calling for an end to the annexation of the peninsula. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian mission to the UN.

The document was signed by: Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, Great Britain, USA.

“Russia held an informal meeting today at the UN to promote a false version of its occupation of Crimea, which was seized in violation of international law. We call on Russia to immediately end the occupation and aggressive actions in Ukraine”,- the statement said.
