It is necessary to develop a new strategic concept of relations with the Russian Federation – Stoltenberg

March 10, 2021

On Tuesday, March 9, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at Stanford University said that it was necessary to develop a new strategic concept for relations with Russia due to the occupation of Crimea. This was reported by the Russian media agency TASS.

“The previous concept stated that we are striving for strategic cooperation (with Russia). This was before Crimea, the Donbas, other aggressive actions of Russia… So I hope that when NATO leaders meet in Brussels at the summit this year, they will agree with the need to develop a new strategic concept and will finally agree on it at the next summit next year”,- he said.
