The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic condemned the actions of the Russian Federation in the occupied Crimea and called on the aggressor state to stop violating human rights on the peninsula and to release all political prisoners in Crimea. The press service of the department reported about this.
“The militarization of the Crimean peninsula and restrictions on free navigation in the Kerch Strait and the Sea of Azov grossly violate international law and threaten stability and security in Europe”,- the statement said.
The Czech Republic has expressed its unequivocal support for Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity within internationally recognized borders.
“The Czech Republic calls on the Russian Federation to stop violating human rights on the peninsula, to release political prisoners from Crimea, to respect international law and to end the occupation of Ukrainian territory”,- the ministry added.
