Invaders kept political prisoner Yatskin in frost for about an hour – Polozov

February 16, 2021

Political prisoner Ivan Yatskin, who is accused of alleged high treason in the form of espionage, was kept in the cold without winter clothes for about an hour. Lawyer Nikolay Polozov reported about it via his Facebook page.

“As I said earlier, in the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center, the cells are periodically sanitized. This measure is absolutely necessary, especially in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. But if usually Ivan Yatskin was moved to another free cell for the duration of the treatment, then this time either there was no free cell, or some other circumstances arose, but the employees of the pre-trial detention center decided to send Ivan Yatskin for a walk. And they sent him in what he was in the cell: a jacket over a T-shirt, sweatpants and slippers”,- the lawyer explained.

It is noted that after three days the political prisoner's toes are still blue, which undoubtedly indicates frostbite.

We remind that in early December 2019, Russian security forces in the occupied Crimea detained Ivan Yatskin, a resident of Simferopol, on charges of alleged high treason. Subsequently, the man was transferred to Moscow. He was arrested until March 16, 2020. Ivan Yatskin's lawyer, Nikolai Polozov, signed a non-disclosure agreement in the so-called case.
