On Monday, February 15, FSB officers detained a married couple in Tatarstan – Ruzil Yapparov and Nina (Latifa) Malakhova. They are accused of “organizing the financing of terrorism.” The so-called Kyiv District Court has already chosen a preventive measure for the family. This was reported by the Crimean Solidarity public association.
“The Kyiv District Court chose a preventive measure for Ruzil Yapparov and Latifa Malakhova, accused in the case of organizing the financing of terrorism. The court sent the man to a pre-trial detention center, and his wife was put under house arrest for a term of 2 months. Malakhova was prohibited from leaving the house, communicating with anyone except lawyers, sending and receiving letters, using the Internet”,- the message said.
The occupants claim that the spouses, at least from 2015 to 2018, “under the pretext of charity and assistance to refugees, citizens in need, as well as the construction of mosques and wells in Africa,” sponsored entities banned in Russia associated with the name of the Muslim religious figure Akhmednabiev, better known as Abu Umar Sasitlinsky.
