On Monday, January 11, despite the spread of coronavirus infection, another illegal military exercise took place in the occupied Crimea, during which field training began with young recruits. More than 200 military personnel take part in the event. This was reported by the press service of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation.
“At the combined-arms shooting range of the army corps of the Black Sea Fleet, in accordance with the plan, field exercises with young replenishment began. Shooting takes place at a tank firing camp. Servicemen practice the skills of destroying targets from the standard guns of armored personnel carriers BTR-80 at different distances, and also learn to determine the distance to targets from using observation and aiming devices”,- the message said.
It is noted that more than 200 young replenishment servicemen take part in training events.
We remind that military exercises, propaganda of military service and conscription into the ranks of the armed forces of the Russian Federation are regularly held in the occupied Crimea. The Russian military exercises are destroying the ecosystem of the peninsula and are a flagrant violation of international law.
Earlier, NATO in its statement on Crimea condemned Russia's ongoing large-scale military build-up in Crimea and expressed concern over Russia's efforts and announced plans to further build up military power in the Black Sea region.
