On Monday, January 11, at a meeting of the operational headquarters on the problems of water supply to Crimea, the so-called head of the Yalta administration Yanina Pavlenko said that the occupation authorities had already selected a site for the construction of the first desalination plant on the peninsula.
“The situation with water in Yalta is stable, but nevertheless, the wonderful idea that you submitted to us is a priority for you – the search for a land plot that has already been selected and the introduction of, probably, the first in Crimea, I hope, desalination plant”,- she said.
She also noted that Russia has not developed regulatory documents that would allow the use of desalinated water at the legislative level.
