The Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea began criminal proceedings due to the detention of a journalist in Crimea

The Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea has begun criminal proceedings over the illegal imprisonment of civil journalist Vilen Temerianov in the occupied peninsula. The press service of the department reported about this.

“On this fact, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 2 of Article 146 (illegal imprisonment) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for up to 5 years in prison.

We remind you that on December 28, Russian police officers in the occupied Crimea forcibly took civil journalist Vilen Temerianov to the police station. He is accused of organizing a mass event, as evidenced by the report of the so-called police.
