Consul General of Ukraine visited Ukrainian political prisoners in Russian jail

Consul General of Ukraine in Rostov-on-Don Taras Malyshevsky visited Ukrainian political prisoners in Russian pre-trial detention centers. He met Rustem Abiltarov, Zevri Abseitov and Oleksiy Bessarabov. This was reported by the Crimean Solidarity public association.

According to the consul, the health of political prisoners has noticeably deteriorated. In comparison with the last meeting, they look much worse. Rustem Abiltarov is very emaciated, his cough has not been relieved for weeks, and he cannot get an examination of his inflamed kidneys. Zevri Abseitov is worried about hypertension, stomach, more than 10 times suffered from bronchitis, as well as toothache. The state of health of Oleksiy Bessarabov has greatly deteriorated. He had all the symptoms of COVID-19, was seriously ill.

“The 21st century GULAG opened before me, though without logging, but with a unified approach of slow exhaustion of everyone, with drawing out vitality, energy and, accordingly, exacerbation and progression of chronic diseases”,- said the consul.
