I missed prison – political prisoner Alim Sufyanov about the psychiatric hospital

December 11, 2020

The defendant in the so-called third Bakhchisaray Hizb ut-Tahrir case Alim Sufyanov spoke about the terrible conditions of detention in the psychoneurological hospital # 1 in Simferopol. This was reported by the Crimean Solidarity public association.

“On the thirty-second day, we did an examination, without which we did not want to leave, so as not to return to this madhouse again. I even had to wash the floors in the ward myself to get rid of a thick layer of dust, since there was no one to wash, so as not to breathe it. And in the evening came the good news, which I had been waiting for from the first day, that tomorrow we will be transported, despite the fact that the conditions in the pre-trial detention center were worse,- I missed the prison”,- he said.

Sufyanov noted that the next morning they woke up almost all with a temperature of 37.2, but the doctor gave medicine to get rid of them as soon as possible.

“The high temperature did not work out and the doctor told me to keep the thermometer lower. I could not miss the chance, without holding the thermometer, plunged into the paddy wagon. So the period of my stay in the psychiatric hospital ended”,-  he added.

We remind that on July 7, Russian security forces conducted mass searches in the dwellings of the Crimean Tatars in the Bakhchisaray, Krasnohvardiiske and Simferopol districts of the occupied Crimea. Seven people were detained. All were taken to the FSB headquarters in Simferopol. On July 7, the so-called Kyiv District Court of Simferopol sent Oleksandr Syzykov, a disabled individual of the first group, under house arrest. On July 8, the so-called Kyiv District Court of the occupied Crimea chose a measure of restraint for Ismet Ibrahimov, Zekirya Muratov, Vadim Bektemirov, Emil Ziyadinov, Alim Sufyanov and Seyran Khayretdynov in the form of detention.
