Ukrainian sanctions will be applied against the Austrian architectural bureau

December 7, 2020

Ukrainian sanctions will be applied against the well-known Austrian architectural bureau Coop Himmelblau, which is involved in the construction of an opera house in Sevastopol. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

It is noted that Ukraine has begun domestic procedures to impose sanctions against the bureau for cooperation with the Russian occupation administration and complicity in Russia's attempt to legitimize the annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

“We will not tolerate such blatant disregard for Ukrainian sovereignty and cooperation with the Russian occupation administration. They will be banned from entering Ukraine, and the international reputation of this company will suffer serious losses. Now complicity with the occupiers in committing an international crime will be associated with the name of this bureau”,- Oleksii Makeiev, special representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine for sanctions policy.
