On Wednesday, December 2, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at a press conference following the results of the second day of meetings of the Alliance Foreign Ministers said that Russia continues to build up its military power in the occupied Crimea. In response to such actions, NATO is also strengthening its presence in the Black Sea region.
“Russia continues to violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and Ukraine. It continues to build up its military power in Crimea. And it is increasingly deploying forces in the Black Sea region. NATO is responding by strengthening our presence on land, at sea and in the air. Just last week, NATO aircraft trained with the USS Donald Cook in the Black Sea”,- he said.
Jens Stoltenberg declared his support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia and Ukraine. He announced that NATO will strengthen its practical support.
