Metropolitan Klyment of Simferopol and Crimea received a package of documents on an administrative offense due to the fact that the Office of the Crimean Diocese did not dismantle the church in Yevpatoriia. This was reported by the press service of the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
It is noted that in connection with the failure to comply with the decision of the so-called court on November 3, 2020, the so-called senior bailiff for the city of Yevpatoriia has already issued a ruling, according to which the Ukrainian Church was found guilty of not dismantling the church and therefore must pay an administrative fine in the amount of 30 thousand rubles. In addition, in December, another protocol was added to this decision on a new fine of 50,000 rubles and a new deadline for dismantling the church – December 3, 2020.
“The representative office of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea condemns the violations of the occupying state of the Russian Federation against the Crimean diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and its believers. The decision of the so-called court and further demands to dismantle the Burning bush church in Yevpatoriia are aimed at ousting the Ukrainian Church from the temporarily occupied Crimea. Russia wants there to be no Ukrainian Church in Crimea, an important center of unity of Ukrainians”,- said Anton Korynevych, Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
We remind that on July 23, 2020, Archbishop of Simferopol and Crimea of the OCU Klyment received a decree from the so-called Crimean bailiffs service on the demolition of the OCU church in Yevpatoriia. The religious building was required to be demolished within five days.
